We are looking for a DAS Technician in the Richmond, VA area to support a fast-growing Data division. This is a great opportunity to work on diverse projects across multiple environments while building hands-on technical experience.
What You Will Be Doing
- Supporting Advanced/Lead Technicians during a project
- Demonstrating proficiency and quality during installation of project-specific components and equipment aligned with manufacturer and company standards
- Assisting in installation and support of various cable types (coaxial, fiber, Cat 5/6, etc.) in commercial and residential environments
- Using basic hand and power tools effectively
- Working professionally across job sites
- Assisting in installations across environments such as stadiums, motor speedways, hospitals, schools, office buildings, and multi-family homes
- Maintaining a safe and clean work area with organized tools
- Delivering high-quality work to maintain customer confidence
What You Will Bring
- 1+ year of technical experience or related education/experience
- Willingness to learn new technologies, design plans, and bills of material
- Hands-on experience with project-specific OEMs
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to evolving technologies in public safety and wireless communications
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings/schematics
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and in a team
- Strong communication and professionalism
- Proven reliability, integrity, and accountability
- Experience supporting engineering C&I, responding to service requests and alarms, and coordinating with project and managed services teams
- Ability to complete reporting based on assignment requirements
- Flexibility with changing work schedules
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work in indoor and outdoor environments (heat/cold, wet/humid, dry conditions)
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and use of tools
- Ability to climb ladders, operate vehicles, and work in physically demanding conditions
- Use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols
- Ability to work in occasionally stressful environments
- On-call support for critical systems may be required
- Standard schedule: Monday–Friday (1st shift), with occasional 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends
Travel Requirements
- Travel as needed to support business and customer needs
