Overall Responsibilities

Responsible for the reliability of the overall computing environment including network and server operations as well as addressing any client computing issues.


Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties

a) Technology:

  • Ensure corporate security standards and procedures are followed.
  • Execute remediation tasks from the security suites on endpoints and SaaS properties, escalating to with Senior Cyber Security Lead where required.
  • Evaluate and recommend Jamieson Cyber Security infrastructure upgrades through individual knowledge of emerging technologies.
  • Support the client computing infrastructure, provide user support, resolve IT incidents, fulfill service requests and ensure SLAs are met
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high quality, professional, service levels


b) Customer Service:

  • Act as ambassador for IT department and as an advocate for technology in general
  • Prioritize, balance, multi task competing issues with deference to urgency, length of outstanding time and political sensitivity


c) Governance:

  • Ensure appropriate levels of security, availability and redundancy for entire technology infrastructure
  • Maintain, follow and enhance as necessary, any appropriate SOPs for IT department
  • Support and enforce any IT related Policies
  • Working in compliance with the company’s Health & Safety Policies/SOPs including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure
  • Comply with all associated GMP Practices


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Security or related field
  • Preferably One (1) year in IT Security (NOC, SOC or other)
  • One (1) year in Windows OS, macOS, Microsoft Office, Hardware Support
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent computer and technical knowledge
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve under pressure
