OakTruss Group is seeking a Senior Advisor, Cybersecurity Technology to serve as a technical leader, trusted advisor, and subject matter expert across a broad range of cybersecurity technologies.
In this role, you will work directly with clients to assess, design, optimize, and implement practical cybersecurity solutions across complex enterprise environments. You will operate at both the strategic and hands-on engineering levels, helping translate business and risk requirements into secure, scalable, and actionable technical solutions.
This is a highly visible client-facing role for someone who can lead technical delivery, advise executive stakeholders, mentor team members, and help shape the continued growth of OakTruss Group’s cybersecurity capabilities.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Advisor, Cybersecurity Technology, you will:
- Serve as a technical authority across key cybersecurity domains, including network security, firewalls, identity, vulnerability management, SIEM, email security, SecOps, data protection, endpoint security, and asset management.
- Lead technical discussions with client executives, security leaders, and engineering teams.
- Translate client needs into practical cybersecurity architectures, implementation plans, and technical recommendations.
- Assess and advise on cybersecurity technology environments, including tooling health checks, technology rationalization, design reviews, and implementation support.
- Provide architectural guidance across hybrid, cloud, and on-premises environments.
- Evaluate security posture and integration considerations for emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning systems.
- Partner with internal leadership, PMO, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality client engagements.
- Mentor team members and contribute to internal tools, accelerators, thought leadership, and service offering development.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate brings a strong cybersecurity engineering background, client-facing experience, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Master’s degree or higher preferred.
- 10–15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure, security architecture, or related technical domains.
- Experience in consulting or client-facing technical roles preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or similar credentials preferred.
- Strong understanding of major cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.

- Identity and Access Management platforms.
