CW 3rd Shift Transaxle Test Support Technician

Shift: 3rd Shift


Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Transaxle Test Support Technician to support dyno bench testing activities, transaxle installation and repair, data collection, and test monitoring operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on automotive drivetrain experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced testing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support dyno bench testing operations, including:
  • Selecting appropriate test patterns
  • Downloading and updating software
  • Initiating and monitoring test procedures
  • Assist with data collection and basic data analysis.
  • Support hourly testing operations and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Install, remove, inspect, and repair transaxles and related drivetrain components.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to meet testing objectives.
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Provide general automotive repair and maintenance support as required.
  • Support additional projects and duties assigned by management.


Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to work 3rd Shift:
  • 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM or
  • 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM
  • Must be available to train for approximately 2 weeks on 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM).
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of bench dyno testing experience (transaxle testing preferred).
  • 2–5+ years of experience installing, removing, troubleshooting, and repairing transaxles in an automotive service environment.
  • Experience with general automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Technical certification in automotive technology or related discipline.
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certifications.
  • Experience with drivetrain, transmission, or transaxle testing.
  • Familiarity with test data collection and analysis tools.
