Responsibilities

RNFA CVOR: In addition to the RN position summary, the RNFA is a registered nurse withspecialized education. The development of specific technical skills enables the RNFA to assist theCV surgeon with cardiovascular procedures. Intraoperatively, the RNFA functionsinterdependently with the CV surgeon and applies knowledge, skill, and judgment necessary toassist the CV surgeon in performing a safe operation that yields optimal results for the patient.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursingCurrent State of Georgia Registered Nurse LicenseRecent CVOR Operating Room experienceGraduate of a recognized RNFA Program requiredCurrent BLS and ACLS certification

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

Certified in perioperative nursing preferred
