Job Description

This role is responsible for daily building upkeep, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, trash removal, stocking, and receiving supplies. The position also supports internal office moves by assisting with the teardown and assembly of office cubicles. Additional duties include general building maintenance, such as startup tasks, minor electrical and plumbing work, light repairs, interior and exterior cleaning, and other tasks needed to ensure smooth and efficient building operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily building upkeep, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, and trash removal.
• Assist with internal office moves by helping with the teardown and assembly of office cubicles.
• Conduct general building maintenance, including minor electrical and plumbing work, and light repairs.
• Engage in interior and exterior cleaning to ensure smooth building operations.
• Utilize cleaning equipment such as auto-scrubbers, sweepers, buffers, and wet/dry vacuums.
• Manage waste and recycling effectively and perform spill cleanup and containment.
• Ensure routine sanitation of restrooms and breakrooms.
• Clean around machinery and production areas while following specific sanitation protocols.
• Track inventory for cleaning supplies and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills and the ability to work around production schedules.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and production staff.

Essential Skills

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, and janitorial duties.
• Proper use of PPE, including gloves, goggles, respirators, and steel-toe footwear.
• Basic hazardous materials handling and awareness of Lockout/Tagout boundaries.
• Knowledge of chemical cleaning for oils, grease, and industrial residues.
• Strong attention to detail in identifying hazards or leaks.
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• General experience with industrial equipment and ability to perform preventative maintenance repairs.
• Knowledge of basic manual work techniques.
• Good attendance and a positive attitude.
• Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Amarillo, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
