As a Chemical Operator, you will be responsible for operating chemical compounding equipment to achieve the correct chemical reactions. You will follow specific batch sheets and document all relevant information throughout your daily activities. Your role requires precise measurement of raw materials and adherence to safety protocols in handling and disposing of regulated waste and hazardous materials.
Responsibilities
The work environment is clean, though certain areas and chemicals can be dirty or hot. Operators may work in hooded areas to manage machines and create chemicals, which can be hazardous if inhaled. Comfort with working in hotter environments and handling hazardous materials is necessary. The team consists of 7 people, with a full staff of 12 to 15 across three shifts, requiring effective teamwork. This position is for the 2nd shift, from Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with opportunities for overtime and weekend work. Training on the 1st shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm) is required for a couple of weeks. Safety processes, standards, and ISO regulations must be followed in this chemical manufacturing environment. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.25 - $28.00/hr.
