The Counter Sales position is a great way to break into the growing Lumber & Building Material industry by learning everything we do on the ground floor. Almost all our employees have worked in this or a similar position at the beginning of their careers and we feel strongly about the value it brings to each individual.


Responsibilities of this position include: 

  • Provide prompt, knowledgeable, and high-quality service to walk-in and contractor-based customers with material needs in all aspects of residential construction
  • Enter orders and quotes into point-of-sale software and answer incoming phone calls to assist team members
  • Provide sales and administrative support for sales representatives
  • Communicate and verify delivery dates with customers
  • Keep showroom up to date with literature and samples
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management


QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate selected for this position must be highly organized and detail oriented. This position also requires exceptional customer service skills, the willingness to work together as a team and excellent written & verbal communication skills. Successful candidates for this role will possess an eagerness to learn and grow, as well as the willingness to take ownership of the position.
