Job Description

This role focuses on operating production equipment in the core assembly area to build industrial radiator cores. You will work with a variety of machines and tools, support both assembly and machine operation tasks, and help maintain a safe and efficient manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Operate core assembly equipment, including the fin press, oven, and soldering dip pot, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Work in the core assembly area to build industrial radiator cores according to production specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform basic machine setup, start-up, and shut-down tasks as directed.
  • Use hand tools and press equipment to assist with assembly and production activities.
  • Inspect parts and assemblies for quality, identifying defects and reporting issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow work instructions, production schedules, and standard operating procedures to meet daily output goals.
  • Handle and move materials and components, including lifting items up to 40 lbs as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Collaborate with assemblers and other team members to ensure smooth workflow within the core department.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • At least 1 year of assembly experience, preferably in a production setting.
  • Basic knowledge of machine operation, including safe use and monitoring of equipment.
  • Ability to use hand tools and press operating equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ability to perform basic inspection of parts and assemblies to ensure quality.
  • Capability to lift and move up to 40 lbs regularly during the shift.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Comfort working with industrial ovens, soldering equipment, and other production machinery.
  • Willingness to learn operation of specific machines such as fin presses and soldering dip pots.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively within a small department.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing processes.

Work Environment

The core assembly area is located in its own dedicated room within the facility. The position follows a first-shift schedule, typically from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., providing a daytime work routine. Appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing setting is expected, including clothing and footwear that support safety and comfort around machinery.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
