Who are we?
The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) is a sovereign tribe located in the metropolitan Phoenix area. SRPMIC is comprised of two tribes, Akimel O’odham (River people) and the Piipaash (People who live toward the water). Bounded by the cities of Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa and Fountain Hills, the Community serves over 11,000 tribal members, and all persons conducting business over approximately 96 square mile area of residential, agricultural and commercial lands, as a full-service government entity. SRPMIC Senior Services department is committed to enriching the lives of older adults through nutritious meals, compassionate service, and a welcoming community.
What the job looks like:
Working Monday through Friday 6am to 3pm, with occasional evening weekends for events. The cook position prepares daily on-site and home delivered meals to 200 senior citizen clients and home-bound adaptive adults. You are a lifeline, because you provide on-site meal service for dine-in clients, meal delivery for home-bound clients, and even cater events for the Senior Services department. The Cook is also eligible for growth and advancement to a level II, given certain benchmarks are met.
