Position Summary:
Our client, with a nationwide presence, is seeking an experienced professional to oversee accounting, reporting, planning, and budgeting operations. This is an opportunity for a detail-focused individual adept at formulating financial solutions.
Key Roles / Responsibilities: • Lead a team focused on financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, and budgeting. • Coordinate the financial planning and budgeting process across the organization. • Establish and enforce closing schedules and procedures. • Develop and document internal control policies and procedures related to budget administration, and cash and credit management. • Monitor and refine our accounting policies and procedures as necessary. • Stay informed about changes in organizational policies, federal and state directives, and accounting standards. • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial forecasts, annual budgets, and regulatory reports. • Analyze financial statements to identify trends and unusual variations. • Provide guidance to other organizational units on accounting and budgeting policies, and effective utilization of financial resources. • Evaluate financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify growth opportunities and areas needing improvement. • Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions. • Monitor financial activities and metrics, including cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. • Execute additional duties as required.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience, including supervisory roles. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required. • Prior experience with finance businesses and financing structures is preferred. • Proficiency in Excel, accounts payable, and accounting is required. • Familiarity with investment statements and taxes is a plus. • Independent, detail-oriented, and accurate. • Familiar with policies, procedures, and regulations related to confidentiality. • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
