Controller – (On‑Site)

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to join their on‑site leadership team at a growing manufacturing organization in Brownstown, Indiana. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company while partnering closely with operational leadership to support business performance and decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide insights to management
  • Oversee cost accounting processes to support manufacturing operations
  • Manage cash flow, credit, and collections activities
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, internal controls, and other regulatory requirements
  • Support and participate in operational and strategic management initiatives
  • Oversee or support human resources administration and data processing systems as applicable


Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
  • Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Hands-on experience preparing financial statements and financial reports
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
  • Background in credit and collections
  • Exposure to human resources and business systems administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial or ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred, but not required
