The Role

The Controller owns the financial innerworkings of Tyton Infrastructure—from project-level job costing to reporting. Partnering directly with the Tyton Infrastructure leadership team and the CFO of Tyton Holdings, you’ll turn financial data into decisions, build the systems and controls a scaling construction business needs, and serve as a trusted advisor on contracts, commitments, and capital allocation. This is a hands-on role for a builder; Tyton Infrastructure is one of Tyton Holdings’ newest operating companies and we are targeting growth thru a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. You’ll be expected to ensure financial operations are built on accuracy and timeliness, providing insight as we grow.

What You’ll Do

•      Own all financial operations for Tyton Infrastructure—month-end close, job-cost accounting, WIP reporting, and financial statements—with an unwavering standard for accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.

•      Build and refine the financial infrastructure: policies, internal controls, systems, and workflows that scale with the business.

•      Partner with operations and executive leadership to define KPIs and deliver performance reporting that drives project- and company-level decisions.

•      Act as the financial eyes on contracts, subcontractor agreements, and other commitments—identifying risk, ensuring alignment with company standards, and protecting margin.

•      Become the in-house expert on our accounting and operational platforms; champion improvements and integrations that save time and improve data quality.

•      Oversee expense management and work with AP to ensure vendors and subcontractors are paid accurately and on time.

•      Support the Tyton Holdings CFO on consolidated reporting, forecasting, budgeting, audit, and tax workstreams.

•      Lead special projects —system implementations, M&A integration, process redesign—as priorities evolve.

What You Bring

•      6+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with meaningful time in construction, engineering, or infrastructure.

•      Deep fluency in construction accounting: job costing, WIP schedules, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, retainage, change orders, and AIA billing.

•      Hands-on experience with construction ERP and project accounting platforms (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint Vista, Foundation, Procore, or similar).

•      A track record of building and improving processes in a growing, multi-entity environment.

•      Strong analytical instincts— you can move fluently between a transaction, a project P&L, and financial statements.

•      Clear communicator who can translate finance for operators and hold your own with executives and external partners.

•      Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
