The Controller owns the financial innerworkings of Tyton Infrastructure—from project-level job costing to reporting. Partnering directly with the Tyton Infrastructure leadership team and the CFO of Tyton Holdings, you’ll turn financial data into decisions, build the systems and controls a scaling construction business needs, and serve as a trusted advisor on contracts, commitments, and capital allocation. This is a hands-on role for a builder; Tyton Infrastructure is one of Tyton Holdings’ newest operating companies and we are targeting growth thru a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. You’ll be expected to ensure financial operations are built on accuracy and timeliness, providing insight as we grow.
What You’ll Do• Own all financial operations for Tyton Infrastructure—month-end close, job-cost accounting, WIP reporting, and financial statements—with an unwavering standard for accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
• Build and refine the financial infrastructure: policies, internal controls, systems, and workflows that scale with the business.
• Partner with operations and executive leadership to define KPIs and deliver performance reporting that drives project- and company-level decisions.
• Act as the financial eyes on contracts, subcontractor agreements, and other commitments—identifying risk, ensuring alignment with company standards, and protecting margin.
• Become the in-house expert on our accounting and operational platforms; champion improvements and integrations that save time and improve data quality.
• Oversee expense management and work with AP to ensure vendors and subcontractors are paid accurately and on time.
• Support the Tyton Holdings CFO on consolidated reporting, forecasting, budgeting, audit, and tax workstreams.
• Lead special projects —system implementations, M&A integration, process redesign—as priorities evolve.
What You Bring• 6+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with meaningful time in construction, engineering, or infrastructure.
• Deep fluency in construction accounting: job costing, WIP schedules, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, retainage, change orders, and AIA billing.
• Hands-on experience with construction ERP and project accounting platforms (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint Vista, Foundation, Procore, or similar).
• A track record of building and improving processes in a growing, multi-entity environment.
• Strong analytical instincts— you can move fluently between a transaction, a project P&L, and financial statements.
• Clear communicator who can translate finance for operators and hold your own with executives and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
