  • Facility Coverage: Split coverage between Hardeman and Whiteville facilities
  • Board Eligible Candidates Accepted


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Psychologist to provide mental health services within a correctional healthcare setting. The psychologist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and ongoing psychological care to inmates/residents.

This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient outcomes while working within a structured behavioral health environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological evaluations, screenings, and clinical assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide counseling and therapeutic interventions
  • Conduct crisis assessments and behavioral health evaluations
  • Perform rounds in segregation and specialized housing units
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, physicians, and security staff
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case reviews
  • Support mental health stabilization and rehabilitation efforts


Required Qualifications

  • Doctoral Degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an accredited institution
  • Active, unrestricted Psychologist License in the state of practice
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
  • At least 1 year in a comparable psychologist rolef
  • Must be Board Eligible to obtain privileges
  • BLS certification required


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in correctional, forensic, detention, or institutional settings
  • Strong crisis intervention and behavioral health assessment skills
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
