Contract Manager
Position Summary
The Contract Manager shall serve as the senior-level authority responsible for the overall
management, administration, and oversight of the Ferry operations contract. This individual
shall act as the primary point of contact for all contract-related matters and shall have final
authority on issues related to contract interpretation, compliance, and performance.
While the Contract Manager may have additional responsibilities outside of this agreement, they
must remain readily accessible and available on short notice to attend meetings, respond to
issues, and ensure that all contractual obligations are fulfilled to the satisfaction of the
organization.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Contract Manager shall, at a minimum:
contractual and performance-related matters
resolution of contract-related issues
requirements, including service delivery, safety standards, and operational expectations
consistent with the terms of the agreement
changes, and required documentation
performance deficiencies
administration and issue resolution
effective manner
performance management
Minimum Qualifications
The Contract Manager shall possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marine operations, marine engineering, business administration, or a
related field
A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in a similar role
that involves contract management, marine transportation and/or similar operational
environments
Demonstrated experience in leadership, oversight, and management of complex contracts
or programs
Comparable experience and equivalent qualifications may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing ferry or marine transportation service contracts
Experience in public-sector or highly regulated contracting environments
Familiarity with large-scale operations involving safety, service delivery, and
infrastructure coordination
Required Competencies
Strong professional judgment and decision-making capabilities
Ability to interpret and enforce complex contractual requirements
Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Proven ability to identify and resolve complex operational and contractual issues
High level of organization, accountability, and attention to detail
