Job Title: IT Contract Manager
Location: Austin, TX 78744 (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
• Perform contract administration work involving the oversight, execution, and administration of large-scope or high-dollar contracts.
• Define contract requirements and participate in negotiating, awarding, developing, and monitoring contracts.
• Prepare or oversee the development of scopes of work, specifications, and conditions for new contracts.
• Prepare contract documents and support the onboarding of new vendor agreements.
• Monitor contract performance, including developing and tracking key performance metrics.
• Coordinate the processing of contract documents to ensure leadership understands and approves contract terms.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, complaints, and disputes through negotiation or contract termination when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience leading competitive procurement processes such as RFPs, RFIs, and IFBs.
• 5+ years of experience negotiating and managing contracts.
• Experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to government agency contracting.
• Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of negotiation strategies and contract administration practices for large-scope or high-dollar contracts.
• Experience monitoring contract costs and vendor performance.
• Understanding of systems and procedures used to evaluate third-party vendor performance.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing the administration of public funds.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Strong negotiation, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and standard business software applications.
