Job Summary

The Contract & Data Analyst (Managed Care) is responsible for analyzing healthcare contracts, supporting negotiations, and ensuring payment compliance. This role plays a key part in evaluating financial performance, resolving contract issues, and building contract projection models within Epic to support strategic decision-making and maximize reimbursement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze managed care contracts and communicate operational and financial impacts to stakeholders
  • Develop financial models and projections to support contract negotiations and performance tracking
  • Monitor contract compliance and audit financials to ensure expected reimbursement levels
  • Identify discrepancies and negotiate with payors to recover underpayments
  • Review and negotiate contract terms and language
  • Build, maintain, and enhance datasets required for contract analysis
  • Develop and improve internal processes for contract management
  • Resolve contractual disputes by collaborating with internal teams and external payors
  • Design, test, and maintain contract projection models within Epic (hospital and physician contracts)
  • Support Epic system builds and troubleshoot issues related to reimbursement logic and revenue codes
  • Partner with Epic teams to implement and optimize contract modeling solutions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 3–4 years of experience in managed care, healthcare contracting, or reimbursement analysis
  • Experience with health plan insurance contracting (provider and facility level)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (business + technical)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power BI, and Access
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong data analysis capabilities
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Epic certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with contract negotiations and financial modeling
  • Knowledge of contract language interpretation
  • Familiarity with data warehouse applications
  • Prior experience working with Epic systems
