Construction Project Manager
Location: On-site | Nashville, TN
Join a rapidly growing specialty contractor delivering complex construction projects that protect high-visibility government, commercial, and critical infrastructure sites across the country. This role is ideal for a construction professional who has progressed through Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager roles and is ready to take ownership of project delivery—from preconstruction coordination through closeout.
Backed by double-digit growth and an entrepreneurial leadership team, this position offers the opportunity to manage multimillion-dollar design-build construction projects while working directly with executives and clients on mission-critical infrastructure installations. Projects involve physical security and site protection efforts, including controlled access solutions, perimeter safeguards, structural barriers, and related construction work supporting government and infrastructure facilities.
This is an on-site role based in the Nashville area supporting projects throughout the region.
What You’ll Do
- Lead cradle-to-completion delivery of multiple concurrent construction projects (typically $1M–$10M) ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets are met or exceeded
- Build and manage detailed budgets, schedules of values, and cash-flow forecasts; track cost-to-complete and drive timely invoicing
- Direct daily coordination among superintendents, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors to keep field activities aligned and on pace
- Manage subcontractor scopes, schedules, and performance across multiple trades while maintaining strong coordination with field teams
- Prepare and submit submittals, RFIs, change orders, progress updates, and close-out documentation
- Oversee procurement of long-lead materials and equipment, anticipating supply-chain risks and adjusting plans proactively
- Champion site safety and quality by developing project-specific safety plans and facilitating job-hazard analyses and QC inspections
- Represent the company in meetings with clients, architects/engineers, and regulatory stakeholders
- Mentor assistant PMs and field staff while promoting a collaborative, high-performance team culture
