Construction Laborer

We are hiring General Construction Workers for commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for individuals with construction, concrete, carpentry, or general labor experience who are dependable, safety‑focused, and ready to work hands‑on in the field.

🔧 Job Responsibilities

• Assist with daily construction and jobsite tasks including cleanup, material handling, and equipment staging
• Support concrete and carpentry crews with preparation and workflow
• Mix, pour, place, and finish concrete while maintaining quality standards
• Set, align, and strip concrete forms
• Perform rough and finish carpentry tasks such as framing, installation, and repairs
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials using hand and power tools
• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and supervisor instructions
• Load and unload materials, tools, and jobsite equipment
• Maintain a safe, clean jobsite in compliance with OSHA and company standards
• Work as part of a team to meet daily production and project deadlines

✅ Required Experience

• 2+ years of construction experience, such as:
  • General construction labor
  • Concrete work or concrete finishing
  • Carpentry or framing
  • Commercial or residential construction
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Strong attendance and reliability

⭐ Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• Concrete finishing or form work
• Finish carpentry experience
• Metal stud framing or drywall
• Blueprint reading
• Experience using tape measure, hand tools, and power tools

🏗️ Work Environment

• Commercial construction job sites
• Team‑based crews (typically 3–10 workers per site)
• Standard schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday
• Dress Code: work boots, jeans, T‑shirt or sweatshirt
• Physical, hands‑on work in active construction environments

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waterloo, IA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
