Construction Laborer / Rigger Helper

Data Center Project | Cheyenne, Wyoming

We are hiring a dependable Construction Laborer / Rigger Helper to support crane operations on a large‑scale data center project in Wyoming. This role assists with rigging and setting electrical switchgear, cabinets, and related equipment in an active construction environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is safety‑focused, physically capable, and eager to learn rigging and crane operations.

Pay & Perks
  • $23 per hour (based on experience)
  • Per Diem: $65 per day worked, housing provided.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Assist crane operators during lifts and rigging operations
  • Inspect, select, and assemble rigging equipment (slings, chains, shackles, chokers, spreader bars, hoists, etc.)
  • Help rig and set electrical switchgear, cabinets, and related equipment
  • Safely connect, guide, and secure loads during lifts
  • Use proper hand signals, voice commands, and radio communication
  • Assist with lift planning, equipment spotting, and site logistics
  • Help load and unload equipment and materials
  • Perform basic yard, shop, and equipment organization
  • Assist with basic equipment maintenance and inspection records
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the crew
Requirements
  • OSHA 10 – Construction (required)
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Comfortable performing hard physical labor outdoors
  • Ability to work at heights and around heavy equipment
  • Willingness to work overtime or travel as needed
  • Strong attention to safety and situational awareness
  • Ability to follow direction and take feedback well
  • Reliable transportation and good attendance
Preferred (Not Required)
  • Prior rigging or crane support experience
  • Experience on large commercial or industrial projects
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment operation
  • Experience using 2‑way radios

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brighton, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
