Construction Estimator

Seeking a motivated Construction Estimator to support demolition projects across Southern California. This role is focused on estimating, client interaction, and business development, with an emphasis on generating and winning new work.

You will be responsible for building accurate bids, walking job sites, and working directly with clients to secure projects. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to combine technical estimating with strong earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Preconstruction

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for demolition and abatement projects
• Conduct site walks and evaluate project scope, access, and conditions
• Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze plans, specs, and field requirements
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Develop competitive bid strategies
• Prepare and submit proposals, bids, and supporting documentation
• Track bid pipeline and follow up on submissions

Sales, Business Development & Client Relations

• Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, and property owners
• Attend job walks, client meetings, and networking events
• Identify and pursue new project opportunities
• Develop new accounts and maintain repeat business
• Support ongoing outreach and relationship-building efforts

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in demolition or related trades
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation
• Comfortable in a client-facing, sales-oriented role
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
