Title: Construction Estimator
Location: Burlington, NJ (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $110K-120K

Tiello has partnered with a highly successful General Contractor in the Burlington, NJ area on their search for an Estimator with experience in Retail, Industrial and Commercial projects. Estimator will manage the preconstruction phase for assigned projects, ensuring cost goals are met across estimating, scheduling, bidding, and contracting. For design/build projects, lead the design team through completion of construction documents while keeping the project aligned with scope and budget.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full bidding process from start to finish, including soliciting, leveling, and analyzing bids for:
– Conceptual estimates
– Hard bids (GMP and lump sum)
– Major change orders
• Prepare or assist in developing scopes of work to support estimating efforts
• Develop and maintain strong subcontractor relationships
• Review and understand project documents (specs, general conditions, schedules) and how they impact pricing
Skills & Qualifications:
• Solid understanding of construction management processes, including estimating, bidding, purchasing, and subcontractor negotiations
• Familiarity with design processes, approvals, and building codes
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial/industrial estimating (site/civil experience is a plus)
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a client-focused mindset
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience with Maxwell Pro Contractor and Microsoft Office
