Role: Construction Coordinator

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Coordinator to support industrial building construction projects in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will oversee field construction activities, coordinate contractors and subcontractors, manage schedules, support RFIs and contract changes, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with drawings and specifications.
This role requires strong knowledge of industrial construction methods, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple construction activities in a fast-paced plant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement building construction projects in support of plant/site operations.
- Coordinate construction schedules, communication, and daily field activities.
- Provide daily construction support and manage RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Serve as liaison between field construction teams and project management.
- Support project estimates, schedules, material tracking, and purchase orders.
- Supervise contractor and subcontractor activities in the field.
- Coordinate weekend and shutdown work plans with contractors, facilities teams, shops, project controls, and project engineers.
- Coordinate equipment delivery, installation activities, and scheduling with vendors and contractors.
- Apply knowledge of general building construction methods and field practices.
- Monitor equipment installation to ensure compliance with project specifications and drawings.
- Coordinate RFIs and CCRs (Contract Change Requests).
- Administer construction contracts and monitor on-site work for compliance with plans and specifications.
- Research, plan, and support building construction activities using industry best practices.
- Present project status updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
- Review and coordinate contract changes into project execution plans.
- Maintain awareness of current and upcoming construction activities and implement countermeasures to maintain project schedules.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in industrial construction projects with emphasis on building construction (greenfield and/or brownfield projects).
- Strong technical knowledge of construction means and methods.
- Ability to review construction drawings and apply them effectively in the field.
- OSHA 30 Certification required.
- Proven ability to manage construction schedules on daily, weekly, and monthly timelines.
- Ability to stand, stoop, and walk throughout a large industrial manufacturing facility for extended periods.
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs to access roofs and equipment rooms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.

- Associate’s Degree in Construction Management or related field.
