Conflicts Analyst

The Conflicts Analyst is responsible for the utilization of 3E to process, perform, analyze, and identify conflicts checks pertaining to new business requests, lateral hires, and any additional conflicts related tasks.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Utilization of 3E software to perform comprehensive conflicts of interest searches related to new business matters and existing clients.
  • Conduct conflict searches on lateral hires to determine possible conflicts of interest and advise CCO/IT on ethical walls, if needed.
  • Analyze, interpret, and identify any conflicts and advise attorneys and GC/CCO of same.
  • Maintain conflicts database to ensure all information is up to date in the system.
  • Maintain accurate documentation on all conflict searches.
  • Review new matter forms for completeness and accuracy and follow up with attorneys/staff to resolve any issues pertaining to missing/incomplete data.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly new business report.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in legal studies/law, accounting, or finance.
  • 3-5 years of conflicts experience in a law firm setting.
  • Experience with 3E database.
  • Excellent communication, research, and analytic skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

Reporting:

The Conflicts Analyst will report to the Firm’s Chief Compliance Officer.
