Job Title: Concrete Laborer

Job Description

The Concrete Laborer works in a manufacturing environment producing precast concrete products. In this role, you perform a mix of general labor tasks, including setting up and pouring concrete, stripping and cleaning forms, assisting with basic carpentry, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. You stay active throughout the shift, work on your feet for extended periods, and handle repetitive, physically demanding tasks. This position is well-suited for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, a fast pace, and the physical challenge of a labor-intensive job.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general labor tasks in a precast concrete manufacturing environment.
  • Set up forms and prepare them for concrete pours according to work orders and instructions.
  • Pour, spread, and finish concrete into forms as directed by supervisors or team leads.
  • Strip, clean, and reset concrete forms after use to prepare them for the next production cycle.
  • Assist with basic carpentry tasks related to building, assembling, and repairing forms and molds.
  • Use basic hand and measurement tools, such as tape measures and levels, to ensure accurate dimensions and proper setup.
  • Follow simple written and verbal instructions, safety guidelines, and work orders to complete daily tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by removing debris and materials as needed.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lift, carry, and move materials, tools, and products weighing up to 40–50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods while completing production tasks.
  • Adapt to working in outdoor or industrial conditions with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift, and up to 50+ pounds consistently as required.
  • Comfort working on your feet for most of the day, including standing, bending, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to work safely in outdoor or industrial environments with exposure to dust, noise, and changing temperatures.
  • Basic carpentry and mechanical skills to assist with form setup and related tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, safety guidelines, and work orders.
  • Proficiency with basic math and measurement tools, including tape measures and levels.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, concrete work, or heavy industrial environments preferred but not required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous construction, concrete, or general labor experience is an advantage.
  • Experience in general production or factory settings is beneficial.
  • Experience working with concrete forms or as a concrete finisher is helpful.
  • Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and comfort with physically demanding, labor-intensive work.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to learn new tasks and processes.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nampa, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
