OBJECTIVE:
Under general supervision and guidance of the Recreation Supervisor, the Dawson Concession Stand Attendant is responsible for operating and handling the functions of the concession stand, including: food and beverage sales, proper food handling, accurate cash handling and deposits, customer service, following proper regulations for selling of beer and other fermented malt beverages, general maintenance and following local health department regulations.

(Approximately 3-15 hours per week) based on preferences and field activity.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to: Recreation Supervisor

Works with seasonal employees regularly and communicates with other Recreation Division employees, softball players and spectators, and the general public.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Ensures concession stand is properly ready for planned schedule
  1. Oversees cleanliness and sanitation of concession stand equipment and concession area.
  1. Greets the public and provides good customer service, addresses customer inquiries and concerns.
  1. Adheres to proper food and beverage handling and temperature control procedures.
  1. Sells food and beverages while following proper cash handling, safe cash storage procedures and maintaining an accurate cash drawer.
  1. Maintains proper use, daily set-up, shut- down, and clean-up of concession equipment.
  1. Completes a nightly bank deposit and completion of nightly shift report documents.
  1. Properly checks ID’s and rules for legal serving of fermented malt beverages.
  1. Reports any issues to Recreation Supervisor.
  1. Follows all safety regulations, policies, and procedures; reports all unsafe conditions and acts to supervisor; reports all accidents to the supervisor immediately whenever possible; follows recognized safe work practices.
  1. Performs other special projects and other job duties as assigned or required during regular and non-business hours.
OTHER DUTIES:
  1. Monitors product stock, tracks inventory, and notifies supervisor when supplies are low.
  2. Restocks product throughout shift as necessary.
  3. Disposes of trash and recycling in proper containers.
  4. Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND PRIOR EXPERIENCE
The requirements listed below are necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
  1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
  1. Experience working with a cash register or serving/selling food preferred.
  1. Completion of Wisconsin Seller/Server online course or willing to complete.
  1. Bartender’s certification or willing to obtain with assistance.

EQUIPMENT, INSTRUMENTS AND MACHINES:
Equipment used includes a cash register, pizza maker, microwave, nacho/pretzel warmer, hot chocolate machine, coffee maker, fridge, and freezer.
