The Concession Attendant is responsible for serving food to golfers and guests at the Palmer Municipal Golf Course Clubhouse or snack shack. They take orders, prepare and serve snacks and drinks, handle sales transactions, and ensure the service area is clean and well stocked. The role focuses on friendly, efficient customer service while maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.

- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Serve food and beverages to golfers and guests.
- Operate golf carts to deliver food, beverages, or supplies to golfers as necessary.
- Take orders, prepare items, and handle sales transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked concession area.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Provide professional and friendly customer service.
- Assist team members and support smooth daily operations.
- Observe and enforce all rules and regulations of the facility.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to secure Alaska Food Handler Certification within 30 days of employment is required.
- Valid Alaska State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Availability to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends as assigned.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Perform light physical tasks.
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and till reconciliation.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team toward common goals.

General supervision is received from the Golf Course Manager.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
External Visibility
This position involves frequent contact with golfers, guests, and other Municipal staff, providing friendly service, answering questions, and supporting the smooth operation of the snack shack and clubhouse.
Working Conditions
The Concession Attendant works primarily in the clubhouse or outdoor snack shack, often standing for extended periods and performing tasks that require moderate physical activity, such as lifting and carrying food and supplies. The role may involve exposure to varying weather conditions. The position may require working weekends, holidays, and during peak golf season hours.
