This is an excellent opportunity to join us in the position of Lead Computer Services Technician (CST III). This position works as part of the Desktop Service Team and provides remote and in-person support services to county departments and other associated organizations. The CST III leads and mentors a team of technicians in providing excellent customer service and daily oversight to support endpoint devices and software and staffing the Service Desk. This position also collaborates and resolves the most difficult and complex tasks and assists end users with selecting and purchasing solutions and some project management.
In this hands-on lead role, the Lead CST also works directly with the team supervisor to plan and maintain standards for hardware and software and to manage endpoint maintenance. The Lead CST is a key partner in supporting and responding to cybersecurity needs of the organization and working with hardware and software vendors to source and provide needed equipment and applications to county departments and staff.

Education and Experience RequiredLevel I:Graduation from high school or completion of GED program. Additional course work in computer operations/maintenance, from an accredited college or university, OR industry-provided training in computer and peripheral operations and/or maintenance, is preferred.Level II (in addition to the above):Two years of experience performing work similar to the Computer Services Technician I in Nevada County.
Level III (in addition to the above):Three years of experience performing work similar to the Computer Services Technician II in Nevada County. Additional college level course work in computer operations/maintenance, from an accredited college or university, may be substituted for up to two years of this experience on a year for year basis.
