CNC Thread Grinder – Traverse City, MI

Pay: $22–$28+ per hour (based on experience)

Schedule:

• 1st shift: Monday – Friday | 6:00am – 2:30pm
• 2nd shift: Monday – Friday | 3:00pm – 11:30pm

Position Overview

The CNC Thread Grinder is responsible for setting up and operating CNC thread grinding equipment to manufacture high-precision components that meet strict tolerance and quality standards. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to consistent production performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC thread grinding machines
• Produce precision components to tight tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and precision gauges
• Perform routine maintenance and basic machine troubleshooting
• Monitor production to ensure quality and efficiency standards are met
• Verify finished work meets internal and customer specifications

Qualifications

• 1 year of CNC experience
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
• Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude
• Detail-oriented with a quality-focused mindset
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
