A dynamic growing machine shop is seeking a CNC Machinist – turning or mills experience. The candidates must have knowledge and experience on CNC Machinist, set-up, editing, and programming ability preferred. Be proficient in the use of CNC turning machines. Troubleshooting skills are key strong points, as well as being a skilled machinist like quality, precision, documentation, inspection, communication, and an overall solid work ethics. Able to maintain close tolerances and achieving a high finish standard in a production and job shop environment. Possible Direct placement and day shift.


Duties would include but not be limited to:

  • Setup 3 and 4 axis mills including horizontal machines.
  • Set up and operation of CNC Turning Centers to produce parts to blueprint specifications - helpful.
  • Experience in set-up, editing, and programming
  • Work directly with Department Leads to run part specific process instructions.
  • Operate machinery per the appropriate work instructions and set-up
  • Maintain close tolerances, conduct quality inspection of own work and adjust as needed.
  • Complete 1st piece inspection of part and maintain consistent Quality checks
  • Conduct daily machine maintenance of machine and equipment and maintain records.

Job Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience with CNC machining turning including programming and edition.
  • Able to read, interpret, and work from engineering prints, drawings and sketches.
  • Knowledge in GD&T (Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Able to use hand tools and measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, test indicators, & depth mics.
  • Experienced working with many types of materials including aluminum and stainless steel
  • Pay close attention to detail
  • Full understanding of tight tolerances and measurement of machined parts.
  • Able to follow detailed instructions
  • Able to work independently or with a team
  • Must be able to follow all safety rules
