Role Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer with experience operating both CNC lathes and CNC mills. This role involves setting up, programming, and machining precision components used in valve modification and repair.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced with FANUC controls, capable of creating and editing programs, setting up jobs, andand working from or modifying AutoCAD designs when needed..

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate 2-axis CNC lathe machines and 3-axis CNC mill machines
  • Program, edit, and optimize CNC programs using FANUC controls
  • Read, interpret, and work from AutoCAD drawings and technical blueprints
  • Machine precision components based on engineering drawings and specifications
  • Select tooling, speeds, and feeds appropriate for materials and tolerances
  • Perform part inspections using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Maintain tight tolerances and ensure high-quality workmanship
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs as needed
  • Collaborate with shop and engineering teams to support valve modification and repair work

Qualifications

  • Experience operating and programming CNC lathes and mills
  • Strong working knowledge of FANUC controls
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Experience with manual programming (G-code) and/or conversational programming
  • Knowledge of machining materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloys
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes
  • Prior experience in a valve, oil & gas, or industrial environment is a plus
