About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist who can hit the ground running in a precision machine shop environment. This is not a button-pushing role—this position requires a machinist capable of independently setting up, troubleshooting, and running jobs from print to finished part. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Haas 3-axis mills and Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes, along with the ability to maintain tight tolerances and ensure high-quality production.



Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Haas 3-axis CNC mills and Fanuc-controlled lathes
  • Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to produce precision parts
  • Perform complete setups including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and first article runs
  • Edit and adjust G-code as needed for optimal performance
  • Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to maintain tolerances
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
  • Troubleshoot machining issues such as tool wear, chatter, and dimensional drift
  • Optimize feeds, speeds, and tooling to improve cycle times and reduce scrap
  • Maintain clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures


Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience with: Haas CNC mills (3-axis) Fanuc controls (lathe experience required)
  • Ability to independently perform setups with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency reading blueprints and understanding GD&T
  • Experience with G-code and troubleshooting programs
  • Strong understanding of tooling, materials, and machining processes
  • Ability to hold tight tolerances (.001” or better depending on part requirements)


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with multi-axis machining (4th/5th axis a plus)
  • Experience in job shop or high-mix, low-volume environments
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices
