Job Title: CAD Technician - MEP Design
Overview
Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Technician to support a leading semiconductor organization’s facilities and engineering teams. This role focuses on creating, updating, and maintaining technical drawings, while ensuring accurate space planning documentation and organized file management. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in AutoCAD 2025, adaptable to evolving standards, and able to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and revise CAD drawings to support MEP and architectural projects
- Maintain accurate space-planning data, including layouts, room details, and occupancy tracking
- Manage and organize drawing documentation, ensuring proper version control and accessibility
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to implement drawing updates and feedback
- Ensure adherence to drafting standards, quality expectations, and project timelines
- Utilize Excel and Microsoft Office tools to track and organize project data
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Autodesk Preferred), with the ability to independently update and correct drawings
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with data entry and space-planning information
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MEP or architectural drafting
- Exposure to Revit or willingness to learn
- Relevant certifications such as Autodesk Certified User or Professional
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $20.00 – $25.00, based on experience and qualifications
