AI Engineers, Inc. (AIE) is looking for a CADD professional to join our Design team based in Berlin, CT. This is an onsite position, looking for an enthusiastic, highly organized CADD professional to lead utility and MEP drafting work for our client using AutoCAD. Candidates should possess a “can-do” attitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work independently as well as with a team in a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative consulting firm. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Certification from technical school or accredited computer-aided drafting/design program.
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • 3+ years of related drafting/design or AEC industry experience preferred
  • Experience with Public Utility infrastructure projects is preferred
  • Experience working on Eversource, CTDOT and/or Municipal projects is a plus.


Responsibilities

  • Provide drafting and design services using AutoCAD
  • Prepare design drawings from general instruction and preliminary sketches, diagrams, or schematics.
  • Prepare design drawings and sketches from preliminary engineering through final design phase on electrical high voltage substations and transmission/distribution circuit projects as well as prepare construction as-builts and record drawings.
  • Prepare sketches and diagrams as required.
  • Support development of standards, templates, libraries, optimizations, and processes.
