Computer Aided Design Drafter

About the Role

A growing utility construction company in Columbus, OH is seeking detail-oriented CAD Drafters to assist with the development of aerial and underground utility designs for ongoing fiber optic and telecommunications infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Will teach, but must learn to read and interpret engineering blueprints, utility conduit plans, and construction schematics
• This position is part of their engineering design team and works under moderate supervision to transform survey data and field notes into AutoCAD-based construction drawings.
• Translating field notes to develop and update conduit/ cable engineering design drawings in AutoCAD

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong time management, organization, and independent research skills
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Willingness to learn, and ability to work independently
• 1+ years of experience working with AutoCAD

Compensation

• Starting Wage: $20–$25 per hour - Rate will depend on relevant experience and technical proficiency.
