Insight Global is looking to hire a CAD Technician / Design‑Draftsperson to support mechanical and electrical engineering projects across commercial, industrial, and mission‑critical facilities. This individual will be responsible for creating, revising, and maintaining high‑quality engineering drawings while supporting multiple active projects simultaneously. The CAD Technician will work closely with Project Engineers, Designers, and Project Managers to ensure drawings meet CEC standards, client requirements, and project timelines. This role offers long‑term growth, with anticipated expansion into design support and project coordination responsibilities over time.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Key Responsibilities Create, revise, and manage engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit Support multiple projects concurrently while maintaining drawing accuracy, quality, and consistency Collaborate with Project Engineers and Designers to ensure adherence to drafting standards and project requirements Prepare and issue drawings, specifications, reports, and shop drawings as required Implement and follow CAD tools, templates, and drafting standards Assist with field investigations and drawing verification, including limited travel to job sites as needed Maintain professional presentation of all production documents with strong attention to detail Respond to internal and external client needs to support effective project delivery and customer satisfaction Required Qualifications Experience drafting within a consulting engineering or building construction environment Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Adobe, and general office tools Ability to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams
