Overview

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Layup Scheduling Specialist. This role will managethe production control boardin the composite shopto ensuresmooth execution of build planson the floor.The position requiressomeone withhigher-level critical thinking skillstoquickly adapt toa fast-paced and dynamically changing environment.Ahigh-levelunderstanding ofthecomposite layupprocessisnecessary tomaintainthe schedule board. Attimesthis role willrequire complexdecision-makinginvolving schedules, support teams,environment, and physical assets.This role enables composite hand layup technicians to focus exclusively on lamination workmanship, supportingtakttime and part quality.

Shift Schedules below:

1stshift - Monday – Thursday: 7AM- 5:30PM2ndshift- Monday - Thursday: 5:30PM - 4:00AM3rdshift -Friday - Sunday: 6AM - 6:30PM

Responsibilities

  • Work with theCompositeplanning team to ensure scheduled work is flowing smoothly through the shop with little to no downtime.
  • Work directly with MFG Eng. To highlightworkcellconstraints and escalate replacement of equipment as needed
  • Work with Team Leads and Group Lead toensure technicians work on partsappropriate totheir skill level
  • Develop systems to document part complexity, team member skill level, andworkcellset up ability.
  • Maintain physical board –print Job, Team Member, and Behind Cause Codemagnets,move scheduled work as dictated by schedule change/work stoppage/behind condition, wipe downdry erase and keep white boardgenerally clean,andmaintainother physical media posted on board.
  • Requestthe preparation of lamination moldsand ensure material is kittedfor parts scheduled to be built.
  • Maintain 4S+S and organization.
  • Attend dailyteam coordinationstandups.
  • Respond quickly to technician requests (tools, parts, etc.)and support in a leadership capacity to guide team members to solutions.

Required

  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Intermediate computer skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes
  • Previousplanningor project management experience(1+ years)
  • Experience working in fast-paced, time sensitive environments(2+ years).
  • Demonstrated abilities following standardized work instructions, technical requirements, and executing standard processes.
  • Lifting of 50 lbs. aided or unaided throughout the day.
  • Must wear PPE when required.
  • Have no known allergies toepoxies or other composites materials.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to become forklift, crane, respirator and/or equipment certified.
  • Ensures adherence to company policies and work rules, as well as ensuring a safe work environment is maintained.
  • Must have andmaintainexcellent work attendance.
  • Must be able to think through problems and stay with them until they are resolved.
  • Must be a self-starter, motivated, and able to work alone or with other team members.
  • Strive to continually improve quality, 5S, and productivity within areas of responsibility, knowledge,skillsand experience. Demonstration through participation of FMDS, shop cleanings, internal audits, etc.

Desired

  • 1+ year of manufacturing experience
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a high-volume production environment that relies on a well-defined process to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S environments.

The target base pay for this position is $27-$40/hr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
