Our client, a growing and well-established organization in the Oil & Gas industry, is seeking a Compensation & HRIS Analyst to join their HR team in a newly created position. This is a high-impact role that combines HRIS ownership with compensation analysis and administration, offering significant visibility with HR leadership and key business stakeholders.
This position will play a critical role in driving HR data accuracy, reporting, compensation alignment, and process optimization across a structured global organization.
Key Responsibilities
HRIS Management & Optimization
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the company's HRIS platform (UKG)
- Maintain data integrity across employee records, organizational structures, and reporting fields
- Manage system updates, workflows, process improvements, and troubleshooting efforts
- Partner with IT and external vendors on system enhancements and implementation initiatives
- Generate and analyze HR reports including headcount, turnover, workforce metrics, and organizational data
- Support HRIS implementation projects, upgrades, and integrations
Compensation Analysis & Administration
- Support annual compensation planning cycles including merit increases, salary reviews, and bonus administration
- Conduct market pricing, compensation benchmarking, and competitive pay analysis
- Maintain salary structures, job leveling frameworks, and internal equity programs
- Analyze compensation data and provide recommendations to HR leadership
- Assist with compensation audits and ensure compliance with company policies
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports for HR and business leaders
- Analyze workforce and compensation data to identify trends and opportunities
- Translate complex HR data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Support strategic decision-making through accurate reporting and analytics
Process Improvement & Integration Support
- Identify opportunities to improve HR systems, workflows, and reporting capabilities
- Support standardization of HR processes across business units and integrated teams
- Assist with aligning compensation practices and HRIS processes across a global workforce
Compliance & Data Governance
- Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of employee and compensation data
- Support internal audits and reporting requirements
- Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Compensation, HRIS, HR Analytics, HR Operations, or a related HR function
- Required experience supporting international compensation programs, including compensation analysis across multiple countries and global employee populations
- Strong hands-on experience with compensation analysis, salary benchmarking, and compensation administration
- Experience serving as an HRIS administrator or primary HR systems resource
- Previous HRIS implementation experience a must
- Oil & Gas or Energy industry experience a must
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including large data set analysis and reporting
- Experience with UKG strongly preferred
