This entry-level, non-sworn position contributes to the work of the Savage Police Department by performing various law enforcement support functions. This is a part-time, uniformed position working up to 29 hours per week. Job duties include assisting sworn and civilian Police Department staff as assigned; maintaining effective community relations and representing the City with the community; delivering and retrieving packages, evidence, forfeited items, court documents, etc.; investigating non-crime ordinance violations; assisting with minor traffic matters, including assisting motorists, and monitoring traffic law compliance in assigned areas. Performs some administrative support tasks including filing, data entry, data retrieval, telephone answering, and other duties as assigned.
