About Media in Retail (MiR)The Media in Retail (MiR) community brings together the operators and decision-makers shaping how retailers monetize attention, data, and customer relationships across both digital and in-store environments.From onsite retail media networks and offsite audience extension to in-store screens and physical retail experiences, MiR is focused on the strategies and partnerships redefining how retail drives advertising revenue and brand engagement. This includes retail media leaders, eCommerce and digital executives, in-store experience and merchandising leaders, brand marketers, and media buyers.Through a partnership between RETHINK Retail and the National Retail Federation, MiR delivers year-round programming designed to help leaders navigate the most critical shifts in the space, including:Retail media network strategy and monetization models across digital and in-storeFirst-party data, targeting, and measurementOnsite, offsite, and in-store media integrationBrand and retailer collaboration modelsAttribution, incrementality, and performance measurementThe intersection of retail media, customer experience, and profitabilityMiR is not theoretical. It is a working forum for the leaders responsible for building and scaling retail media businesses across channels, creating a space to exchange real-world strategies, benchmark approaches, and shape the future of retail monetization together.Role & ResponsibilitiesDefine and evolve the core themes shaping retail media (e.g., monetization models, measurement, data strategy, retailer-brand dynamics)Shape the communitys point of view on how retail media drives revenue growth, customer engagement, and long-term enterprise valueContribute to and guide high-impact programming, including executive roundtables, podcasts, and event sessions focused on retail media innovationAct as a visible industry representative across RETHINK Retail platforms and key industry moments (e.g., NRF, Shoptalk, Cannes Lions, eTail)Activate your network of retail media, marketing, and digital leaders to bring high-quality perspectives into the communitySupport member curation by identifying and engaging senior leaders responsible for retail media, digital marketing, and monetization within retailers and brandsEngage in community discussions, helping elevate practical insights, real operator challenges, and forward-looking strategiesCollaborate with the RETHINK Retail Community team to ensure programming stays relevant to the evolving retail media landscapeWhat the Role Does Not IncludeCommunity Chairs are strategic leaders, not operators.
