NATURE OF WORK:Provide support to the City of Owatonna’s efforts to inform, engage, and connect with residents, businesses, and community stakeholders. This role provides hands-on experience in public sector communications, digital media, and community outreach while contributing to meaningful civic initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications: Must have a valid driver's license. Successful candidates will have some post-secondary education from a program in public administration, communications, marketing, or a related field. Must be proficient in the use of computer equipment and software including word processing and web-based systems.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong organizational, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, creative thinking, problem-solving, and customer service skills.Hours of Work:Position will work in the office and have flexibility in schedule within regular business hours of 8am – 4:30pm. Temporary position could work up to 40 hours per week.
Physical and Mental Demands:Position requires reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
