Communications Associate (Financial Communications)

Longacre Square Partners ("LSP") is looking to expand its team with a Communications Associate.

 

LSP is a leading strategy and communications consultancy that represents many of the world’s top asset managers, financial institutions, and public and private companies. We pair high-touch senior counsel with full-service capabilities to enable our clients to elevate their brands, manage their reputations and shape their stakeholders’ perceptions. Notably, we are a recognized industry leader when it comes to advising investors and public market participants navigating shareholder activism campaigns, corporate governance disputes, mergers and acquisitions, complex transactions, litigation, restructurings and other transformative events.


Qualifications and Experience


A successful Associate candidate will have:

  

  • 1-2 years of experience in public relations/communications, government affairs, finance or related industry
  • A strong interest in business, financial markets or economic policy
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • The ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Close attention to detail
  • Ambition and drive to succeed at any task, no matter how big or small


As an Associate at LSP, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations on our client accounts, including:

 

  • Support client teams with media, public affairs, and financial research and analysis
  • Conduct monitoring and analysis of broadcast, print and online media coverage of clients and client issues
  • Develop media pitches and media lists and interface with journalists
  • Produce social media and website content for clients
  • Draft client-facing materials (e.g., press releases, fact sheets, talking points, etc.)
  • Assist in the new business process, including contributing to proposals

The target base salary for this position is $60,000 – $80,000, in addition to a competitive benefits and bonus package (as applicable). Compensation is determined by several factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
