Overview

Nelson Mullins, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its dynamic team in the Atlanta office, supporting the firm’s debt servicing and restructuring practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex transactions that help shape communities across the country while providing essential support to attorneys in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing transaction workflows, supporting leasing matters, and contributing to high-quality client service across all phases of commercial real estate transactions.

A Day in the Life

in this role, you will support a broad range of commercial real estate transactions with a focus on title and survey review, transaction management, and leasing matters. You will review and abstract purchase agreements and ground leases, prepare critical dates memoranda and closing checklists, and analyze title commitments, underlying documents, and surveys to identify and resolve issues. This role also includes drafting title objection letters and summaries, coordinating closings, managing post-closing deliverables, and monitoring title policy issuance. Additionally, you will assist with commercial leasing matters, including drafting, reviewing, and managing leases, amendments, and related documents, while coordinating with clients, title companies, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate execution. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong commercial real estate experience, including title and survey review, along with the ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced legal environment. This individual demonstrates excellent organizational, analytical, and client service skills, with a proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • 5+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience, including title and survey review
  • Experience drafting and reviewing commercial leases, purchase agreements, and closing documentation
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters and meet strict deadlines
