An outstanding chance exists for a skilled trucking underwriter. This individual will assess risks associated with business vehicle insurance by reviewing applications, analyzing financial information, and evaluating driving records to establish premiums and coverage. The underwriter will work closely with agents to ensure the company’s profitability by carefully managing risk and reward in line with company policies and regulations. Essential responsibilities include evaluating both new and renewal policies, negotiating terms, overseeing current business, and delivering exceptional service to brokers, with a strong emphasis on growth and risk management for the insurance provider.
Requirements:
A background of 5-10 years in commercial trucking or auto underwriting is essential. The candidate must be capable of working autonomously with minimal oversight, showcasing strong knowledge in General Liability (with a preference for experience in Excess & Surplus Lines) to thrive in the position. Experience in risk retention is also advantageous. A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is essential.
