Outstanding opportunity available for a seasoned trucking underwriter. The individual will assess risks associated with business vehicle insurance, evaluating applications, financial information, and driving records to determine premiums and coverage. This role involves collaboration with agents and the responsibility of ensuring profitability by managing risk and reward while complying with company policies and regulations. Key responsibilities include evaluating new and existing policies, negotiating terms, monitoring current business, and delivering exceptional service to brokers, with an emphasis on growth and risk management for the insurer.
Candidates should have 5 to 10 years of experience in commercial trucking or auto underwriting. This role requires the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision and demands proven knowledge in General Liability, ideally with a background in Excess and Surplus Lines for success in this position. Experience in risk retention would be advantageous. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required.
