Commercial Sr. HVAC Technician Job ID 272697 Posted 27-Apr-2026 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Engineering/Maintenance Location(s) Indianapolis - Indiana - United States of America About the RoleAs a Senior HVAC Technician with CBRE, you’ll support a pharmaceutical client on a Monday–Friday day shift, maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment across multiple facilities. You’ll ensure reliable operation of commercial HVAC systems, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to service needs in a highly regulated environment.
This role is part of CBRE’s Engineering and Technical Services team, focused on delivering safe, compliant, and efficient building operations.
What You’ll Do
  • Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain large electric or pneumatic control systems used for building.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, chillers, boilers, and building automation controls.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, recommend solutions, and execute high quality repairs with minimal downtime.
  • Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
  • Troubleshoot difficult equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications. •
  • Manage HVAC stock levels for materials, supplies, and component needs on hand.
  • Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
  • Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.

What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a diploma.
  • EPA Certification required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
