We are seeking a strong commercial real estate paralegal/loan closer to work in-house with a large real estate developer. We handle highly complex and monetarily significant closings and we are in need of support in the following areas:
• Handling loan closing checklists;
• Preparing resolutions for borrowers and guarantors, affidavits of title, opinion letters, escrow letters, and organizational charts;
• Communicating with lenders’ counsel and title companies;
• Organizing executed loan documents;
• Preparing deeds and transfer forms;
• Preparing contract amendments, master deeds, bylaws, joint venture agreements, etc. (these tasks would entail gathering information and preparing forms, but not reviewing documents substantively, which our attorneys handle); and
• Forming new entities, obtaining EINs, and preparing operating agreements.
This position requires careful attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, the ability to problem solve independently and support senior attorneys.
Due to the collaborative nature of our business, we require employees to be on-site full time at our office in Piscataway, New Jersey.
