Position Summary
The Commercial Loan Operations Specialist provides operational and servicing support for the Bank’s commercial loan portfolio. This role is responsible for accurate loan boarding, maintenance, documentation review, servicing transactions, and ongoing operational support throughout the life of commercial credit relationships. The position is a true back-office role with no sales or relationship management responsibilities and requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of commercial loan products, and experience working within loan systems and operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Loan Boarding & Servicing
Review approved commercial loan packages for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and procedures
Book and board commercial loans and loan modifications into the Bank’s core and ancillary systems
Set up and maintain loan terms including rates, amortization, payment schedules, covenants, collateral, and guarantees
Process servicing transactions such as payments, advances, rate changes, renewals, extensions, payoffs, and modifications
Documentation & Compliance
Review executed loan documents to ensure consistency with approval and booking requirements
Track required documentation, insurance, collateral, and covenant requirements
Support lien perfection activities including UCC filings, continuations, and releases
Assist with internal audits, loan reviews, and regulatory exams by providing requested documentation and system data
Operational Support
Partner with Commercial Credit, Relationship Managers, and Treasury Operations to resolve servicing and operational issues
Research and resolve loan-level discrepancies, payment differences, and system exceptions
Maintain accurate loan records and electronic imaging files
Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and risk mitigation
Reporting & Quality Control
Perform quality control reviews to ensure loan data integrity
Monitor exception reports and take corrective action as needed
Assist with portfolio reporting, ticklers, and calendar-driven servicing events

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
