Commercial Loan Specialist
Hybrid to Brookfield, WI: 2 days a week onsite
Job Summary
The Commercial Loan Specialist supports the end-to-end servicing and administration of commercial lending relationships. This role works closely with relationship managers, underwriting teams, and credit partners to ensure accurate loan documentation, timely servicing, and a high-quality client experience throughout the loan lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
· Support commercial lending teams with loan servicing, documentation, and portfolio management activities
· Prepare, review, and maintain accurate loan documentation, including renewals, modifications, and amendments
· Coordinate loan closings by validating terms, conditions, and credit approvals
· Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and loan covenants
· Perform ongoing loan maintenance activities, including payment processing, rate changes, and collateral updates
· Respond to internal and external inquiries related to commercial loan accounts
· Identify and help resolve documentation or servicing issues to mitigate risk
· Collaborate cross-functionally with credit, legal, operations, and treasury teams
· Maintain accurate records within loan servicing and core banking systems
· Support process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
· 2+ years of experience in commercial loan servicing, commercial banking, or credit administration
· Strong understanding of commercial loan structures, documentation, and servicing processes
· Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to commercial lending
· High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
