Cedarline Lending is a tech-forward private lender specializing in ground-up residential subdivisions, homebuilder construction lending, and multifamily commercial real estate (CRE). We are seeking a Loan Administrator who is a hybrid of an operationally rigorous loan administrator and an automated process builder. In this role, you will not just be managing loans and coordinating construction draws; you will be helping build the automated, AI-powered systems that optimize our loan servicing engine, streamline compliance tracking, and accelerate title/escrow coordination.
Job ideally located in Lake Oswego, OR, or in Salt Lake City, UT, but could be remote.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Loan Administration & Title Coordination
- Core File Ownership: Prepare and maintain accurate loan documentation. Maintain organized, fully compliant, and up-to-date loan files, managing covenants, conditions, and critical deadlines.
- Title & Escrow Liaison: Serve as the primary operational point of contact for title companies, seamlessly managing closing documents, title updates, clear titles, and loan recordings.
- Funding & Disbursements: Review complex construction draw requests, audit supporting invoices/lien waivers, verify project milestones, and coordinate precise disbursements in alignment with loan agreements.
- Third Party Management: Work with our third-party servicer, document custodian and other partners to respond to questions, conduct reconciliations and create a seamless process for our customers.
- Relationship Management: Provide professional, high-touch support to clients and external partners, rapidly resolving documentation or funding discrepancies.
Tech Stack Architecture & AI Integration
- Build & Optimize Automation: Proactively identify operational bottlenecks and assist in designing, testing, and implementing automation workflows to scale our lending footprint.
- AI Agent Management: Collaborate on the deployment of advanced AI agents to automate much of the loan administration process. Manage agents to ensure accuracy and monitor anomalies.
- Change Advocacy: Act as an internal champion for modern technology, documenting new automated procedures and ensuring rigorous data integrity within our systems during software transitions.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in a digital-first environment, has zero tolerance for manual repetition, and doesn't wait for a manual to be written. You must be eager to proactively design systems rather than just following static, legacy checklists.
- Experience: 3–4 years in Loan Administration, Loan Processing, Closing, or Escrow Operations. Direct exposure to title companies is strongly desired.
- Domain Background: Experience built within a bank, credit union, mortgage company, non-bank private lender, mortgage or title company or similar firm.
- Tech Proficiency: Familiarity or direct experience working with AI applications (LLMs), workflow automations, and modern loan management software. Strong plus if you've connected tools or used tech to accelerate manual tasks.
- Execution Mastery: Flawless attention to detail and rigorous follow-through. A 'builder' mindset with high organizational capability.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with sophisticated builders, title officers, and internal underwriting teams.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Cedarline Lending offers a highly competitive compensation package designed to reward process innovators and high performers. This role features a competitive base salary, comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities to grow rapidly into ops leadership as our tech-driven platform scales.
